The planets, they are the active power of our consciousness. The signs are the unconscious formative fertile ground of our life experiences. The houses give structure and support to every area of our life. The planets show us how our individual consciousness is going to act and experience the karmas indicated by our birth chart.
Each planet is an integral aspect of our being. They represent our capacity to engage love, service, work, fame, spirituality, creativity, financial well-being, health, and all our relationships to the world of form. Studying the natures, meanings, and powers of the planets we learn about our own capacities and where we fit into the world. We learn how to see the world as an expressive interplay of our conscious activity (the planets), the varied and diverse areas of our life (the houses), and the fertile ground of being from which our individual lives grow (the signs).
In this class we will learn how the planets work for good or ill in each sign, how each planet functions for every individual ascendant. How the planets impact the areas of life indicated by the houses. We will learn how to commune with the planets, thereby gaining insight into their power and being directly. We will explore the varied and diverse worldly meanings of each planet. We will consider how the 9 great powers of consciousness interact with each other. This allows us to see why we make the choices we do in our life.
In these Astrological Mastery Courses, we will be drawing on the wisdom and techniques of ancient texts such as Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Brihat Jataka, Sarvartha Chinamani, Jaimini Upadesa Sutras, and more.
At the conclusion of this series, you will be clearly equipped to consider proper application of astrological technique, which gives capacity for detailed astrological assessment and prediction. You will also be able to see the world alive with the powers and consciousness of the planets. This, in my mind, is the ultimate goal of astrology, to learn to see and communicate with the world through the symbolism and knowledge of the 9 great planets, which are truly aspects and powers of our Eternal Self.
